In the coming Week, macroeconomic data, trend in global markets, investment by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs), the movement of rupee against the dollar and crude oil price movement will dictate trend on the bourses.
The market may remain volatile as traders roll over positions in the futures & options (F&O) segment from the near month March 2017 series to April 2017 series. The near month March 2017 derivatives contract expire on Thursday, 30 March 2017.
State-run oil marketing companies (PSU OMCs) and auto stocks will be in focus as PSU oil marketing companies will undertake fuel price revision during the next weekend. PSU OMCs review oil prices at the middle of the month and at the month-end every month based on the trend in international oil market.
Auto stocks will be in focus as auto companies will start reporting sales volume data for March 2017, starting from Saturday, 1 April 2017.
Aviation stocks will be in focus as PSU OMCs will revise jet fuel prices by next weekend. PSU OMCs revise jet fuel prices on the last day of every month. Aviation turbine fuel or jet fuel constitutes more than 50% of operating cost for airliners. Prices of jet fuel are directly linked to crude oil prices.
On the political front, the developments in the budget session of the Parliament will also be keenly watched. The budget session is spread over two parts. The second half of the session began on 9 March 2017 and concludes on 12 April 2017. The first was held from 31 January 2017 to 9 February 2017.

Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Dennis Kaplan takes part in a A Discussion of Economic Conditions and the Role of Monetary Policy at Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas, on the same day.
Forum for Women in Banking in Midwest City, Okla., on the same day. Also on that day, Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Dennis Kaplan takes part in a moderated discussion at the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations in Dallas, Texas.
Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James Bullard will be interviewed on US economy and monetary policy at a Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education forum in New York, N.Y., on Friday, 31 March 2017.
